This Saturday, I got the pleasure of attending my first ever Scarlett London event #BloggersBall, which took place in London at DSTRKT. Previously, I'd only been to two other blogger events, but nothing compared to this! I got to meet a handful of other bloggers (including Mario the photoshop GENIUS), and was introduced to so many amazing brands, who I am excited to work with and support in the future.
I spent most of the day with Arora and Elise, who you can see pictured with me in this photo of us in SCISSORPIC's Magic Mirror. Seriously though, it was one of the most fun and unique photo-booths I have ever used and I would 100% recommend it to anyone! So if anyone's planning a surprise party for me or anything... you know what to do.
Other than this, there was also a range of other brands that showcased products such as jewellery, food, clothing, stationary and even beach holidays! A few of them included:
1. Just Beauty - an online retailer that sells beauty, hair and skin products. At the event, they were highlighting the brand Mylee, who specialise in nails and nail care. In particular, I was introduced to the Mylee PRO Elite LED Lamp, which allows you to do your own gel manicure in the comfort of your own home! Pretty sweet if you ask me.
2. Jewellery Box - an online jewellery retailer who have an aim of proving that you can buy real jewellery at costume prices. This is especially great if you're a student who wants beautiful jewellery but cannot afford high end prices. When I was speaking to them, I was kindly gifted the loveliest bracelet and ring set, which I will be blogging about very soon. They were definitely one of my favourite brands as I love dainty and delicate jewellery.
3. Fei Liu - on the other end of the scale is Fei Liu, a high end jewellery designer who combines his eastern heritage with western design. At the event, I actually got to meet Fei himself, who was the most fabulous man that completely understood the need for perfect lighting. He introduced me to a few of his collections: Cascade, which is inspired by the movement of water; Snowdrop, which represents the bridge between winter and spring; and finally, Serenity (my favourite), which is inspired by the flow and curves of incense smoke.
4. Smooth Skin - permanent home hair removal that is fast, safe and easy to use. Now I know what you're thinking - does it hurt? And the answer is quite simply, no. I got it tested on my skin and literally, the only thing you feel is a small pulse of heat which is over before you've even realised. The thought of permanent hair removal has been growing on me lately, and although £250 may be dear to part with at first, think of all the money you can shave (ha) on buying razors, and it's definitely cheaper than doing it in a salon!
As a final note, I'd like to say a huge thank you to Scarlett for organising and hosting such an amazing event! I cannot begin to imagine the amount of preparation that would have happened to put on an event as big and successful as this one.
