BLOGGER EVENT • GIORGIO ARMANI14:46
I had the pleasure of attending my first Southampton Bloggers event last week at John Lewis in West Quay. It was a Giorgio Armani Makeup Event, in which we were introduced to some of their amazing products and talked through a beautiful summer look.
First, they talked us through a cleansing routine. In particular, I really loved the Acqua Pantelleria, which felt really cool and refreshing when I tried some on my skin. They also used the Maestro Primer which really intrigued me as it had SPF 50 but, due to the it's special formula, does not give you that greasy 'flashback' when taking selfies (priorities, ha) and can be worn on its own for a smoother looking skin. However, at £40 a bottle, I can only dream of it.
Next, they talked us through their summer make up look. Again, with the make-up, one product really stood out to me - the Fluid Sheer Skin Illuminator. I cannot remember the shade but having a quick glance at the John Lewis website, I believe it is shade number 13. This wonderful thing can be used alone as a base, mixed into foundation or as a highlighter for beautifully glowing skin! Unfortunately, the Fluid Sheer retails at £35.50, so it's another one for the wishlist.
After the event, I asked to get a colour match as I have never been able to find my perfect match in a foundation, hence just sticking to tinted moisturisers. However, it seems as though the Luminous Silk Foundation in 5.5 is a perfect match! I believe the Luminous Silk is also a Kardashian favourite, so I'm excited to give my sample a go.
As well as a sample of the Luminous Silk in 5.5, I also received a lovely gift bag of some samples to try out at home. This included the Crema Nera Extrema, Maestro Primer (yay!) and the Rose D'Arabie Eau De Parfum.
Aside from the actual event, I finally got to meet Charlotte, who I have been talking to for a while which was so nice! We met up for a quick Costa before the event as it was both our first Southampton Bloggers event, so thought it would be great to go together. I also met a lovely blogger called Chloe, who lives near me in the Midlands which is so crazy!! Glad to have met someone from back home.
As a last note, I would like to say a big thank you to Southampton Bloggers for giving me the opportunity to attend this event, and to the lovely Giorgio Armani ladies who were so informative and helpful at the event.
